On top of the world!

Pupils in Years 5 and 6 recently spent a week at the Rhyd-y creuau Field Study Centre in Snowdonia where they had an exciting time exploring the wild mountain habitats and rivers of North Wales.

All the children successfully climbed up and down Mount Snowdon and had a wonderful experience learning about mountain environments. The photo shows a group of the pupils on top of Mount Snowdon enjoying a well- earned sit down.

Lots of fun and games was had by all and the children will take home cherished memories that will last a life time. Whilst they were away, parents back home were kept up to date with a daily Blog and photographs of all their activities could be viewed via the parents' portal of the school's virtual learning environment.

This was our first trip to the centre, but it won't be our last!

Fairstead House School and Nursery is a leading private co-ed prep and pre-prep day school and nursery for boys and girls aged three to eleven years in Newmarket, Suffolk in the heart of East Anglia.
