A Co-Educational Preparatory Day School and Nursery for children from three to eleven years old

On Monday 18th June Year 4 enjoyed a wonderful day out at Kentwell Hall.
We dressed up in our Tudor costumes to investigate life in Tudor times. Despite the weather (we did get soaked at one point) we all had an experience to remember.
As we wandered around the hall and gardens we were greeted by characters who told us about their lives and work. We met the lady of the hall along with her granddaughter; the cooks showed us how to make bread crumbs and sugar decorations; the guards warned us to remember our manners and to curtsey and bow; the spice merchants told a few tall tales; the dairy maids demonstrated how to make cheese and the bakers encouraged the children to kneed the bread. There were many more delightful characters and some we did not have time to see. It's an action packed day well worth the visit.
