Kentwell Hall Tudor Re-creation

Year 4 enjoyed an unusual and informative day out at Kentwell Hall in Long Melford.

Dressed in their finest Tudor garb, the children we accompanied by Mr Williams, Mrs Russell and Mr Hald – all of whom were also suitably attired.  We were able to see the re-enactment of Tudor Life up close.  We were particularly impressed by the chandler, blacksmith, wool dyers and ladies in the buttery.  The adults found the alehouse especially enlightening – particularly Mrs Russell who got special attention from the brew man.   We had a wonderful day and never imagined 1538 could be so much fun.
